We provide return preparation, the related calculations and tracking of tax obligations for individuals and companies of all sizes. Before each return we tell you the amount of tax that will be assessed and remind you of the payment date.
Returns we prepare and their deadlines
If the last day falls on a weekend or public holiday, the deadline moves to the next working day. The tax administration may extend deadlines from time to time; for current dates you can follow our tax calendar page (in Turkish).
- VAT return: filed and paid by the 28th of the month following the relevant period.
- Combined withholding tax and social security return (muhtasar ve prim hizmet): taxes withheld at source on wages, rent, self-employment payments and similar, together with social security premium notifications, are filed by the 26th of the following month.
- Provisional tax return: filed for three periods a year by 17 May, 17 August and 17 November.
- Annual personal income tax return: filed by the end of March.
- Corporate income tax return: filed by the end of April.
- Stamp duty and other returns: we also prepare the other returns and notifications required by your activities.
Calculation and checks
A return is not prepared on the assumption that the records are correct; the records are checked first. We review one by one whether deductible VAT matches the documents, whether taxes withheld at source are calculated at the correct rate, the period-end entries for provisional tax and the expenses not deductible by law in the annual return.
- Tracking VAT carried forward from previous periods and taxes to be offset
- Checking transactions subject to VAT withholding and reverse-charge returns
- Correct application of exemptions, deductions and loss carry-forwards in the annual return
- Advance notice of taxes payable and support for cash planning
Correcting an incorrect return
When an incomplete or incorrect return for a past period is noticed, correcting it through a voluntary disclosure (pişmanlık) or an amended return before the tax administration detects it can significantly reduce penalties or avoid them altogether. In such cases we determine which route is appropriate and make the correction.

Frequently asked questions
When is the VAT return due?
The VAT return is filed by the end of the 28th day of the month following the relevant tax period and is paid within the same period. If the last day falls on a weekend or public holiday, the deadline moves to the next working day.
What happens if a return is filed late?
An irregularity penalty is imposed for returns not filed on time; if the tax is not paid on time, late payment interest also accrues. If the return is not filed at all, the tax administration may make an assessment and heavier penalties may apply. When a delay is noticed, filing the return as soon as possible prevents the penalty from increasing.
How many provisional tax periods are there?
Provisional tax is declared in three periods a year. The returns are filed by 17 May, 17 August and 17 November; the profit of the last period is declared in the annual return.
Can I correct a return I filed incorrectly?
Yes. An incorrect return can be corrected with an amended return, and it is also possible to benefit from the voluntary disclosure provisions for tax under-declared. Corrections made before the tax administration detects the error are generally more advantageous in terms of penalties.
